TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a death warrant for the state’s 19th execution this year.
According to court records, Frank Walls is set to be executed on Dec. 18 at 6 p.m.
Walls was arrested in 1987 at 19 years old and was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, per the Florida Supreme Court.
According to the death warrant signed by the governor, Walls brutally attacked and killed Edward Alger and Ann Peterson in their mobile home in the early hours of July 22, 1987.
He was convicted and given life in prison for one of the murders and recommended the death penalty for the second just before his 21st birthday, according to court documents.
