OTTAWA COUNTY, MI — A 23-year-old man is in custody after being tracked by a drone and K-9 deputies, following a Tuesday afternoon home invasion.
The suspect is believed to have stabbed a 68-year-old male homeowner and the man’s dog. The dog later died as a result of the injuries sustained, according to an incident report filed by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jacob Mucha.
The homeowner suffered non life-threatening injuries and was treated at the scene, Mucha reported.
Deputies responded to the scene, in the 11800 block of New Holland Street in Olive Township, just after 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
By the time deputies arrived, the suspect had already fled the scene, Mucha said.
