The city of Columbia will be hosting a meeting on proposed Daniel Boone City Building renovations to the first floor from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The goals of the renovations are to make visits to city hall simpler and more efficient.

According to a news release, the plan would update 2,350 square feet of the building's lobby including:

Opening up the lobby for better access

Enhancing security

Reconfiguring customer service counters

Upgrading mechanical and electrical systems

The remodel would also bring all utility customer service functions to one location, allowing residents to set up services, make payments or get assistance in one stop.
