BOLTON, Mass. —

A car and a school bus were involved in a collision Tuesday afternoon in Bolton, Massachusetts, the town's police department said.

The crash happened just after 2 p.m. near the intersection of Main Street and Burnham Road.

Police found two vehicles at the scene: a Honda Element with front-end damage and a school bus that left the road as a result of the crash and came to a rest in a wooded area. The bus also had front and rear-end damage.

A police investigation found that the bus was leaving Burnham Road to merge onto Main Street before striking the Honda, which was driving westbound on Main Street.
