HAMPTON, Va. — Hampton police now have the name of the man they believe killed 73-year-old Arthur Jackson: his 18-year-old grandson, Kyron Jackson.
Records from Hampton Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court show that Hampton police conducted a welfare check on Arthur Jackson on Saturday.
When police arrived at his house on Newport News Avenue, they said it was Kyron Jackson who opened the door. The documents showed that Jackson told police his grandfather was sleeping and wasn’t able to come to the door.
Jackson eventually let police into the home, where they found Arthur Jackson in a back bedroom of the house, in bed, covered in blood, and unresponsive.
