New Castle County Council needs more time to figure out how to regulate data centers.

An ordinance that would regulate data centers in the county was tabled at a council meeting Nov. 18 by an 8-5 vote.

The ordinance has had multiple tweaks from different council members since its August introduction, but the original sponsor, Middletown representative Dave Carter, wanted the ordinance to retroactively apply to plans that have already been submitted.
