According to a social media post made by the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) on Tuesday, Animal Control deputies and members of the Cañon City Fire Department responded to the area of Ash Street and Elm Avenue.
Officials said the horse had been stuck in deep mud for most of the day. Photos shared by the sheriff’s office show first responders leading the horse out of the sticky situation.
