PHOENIX — A Valley family is grieving after a crash killed their 14-year-old loved one.
Hakim Hadzic was an older brother who loved video games, sports, and his family.
"He was such a good boy," his aunt, Samira Hadzic, said.
Hadzic has spent the past few weeks looking through photos of her nephew, Hakim. She said she's trying to focus on the moments that brought her and her family joy.
"I would Facetime with him," she said with a smile. "And my sister and me sometimes would have a conversation, and he'd just butt in and put his head in."
The boy's death, though, has left a void that she said can't be filled.
"He left a 7-year-old sister," she said. "He was the big brother. It's really sad because it's not like he made this happen; it was a tragic accident."
