PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - Central Illinoisans will have the chance to see former 25News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins again, but this time, he is taking on a different role.

That is because Collins will be the Grand Marshal of the 138th Annual Santa Claus Parade. It is the longest continually-running holiday parade in the country, according to parade organizers.

The parade, presented by Peoria Area Community Events, is set to take off at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 28. It will feature the signature costumed characters, novelty walking units, decorated floats, marching bands, and, of course, the big man himself, Santa Claus.
