BLACK HAWK COUNTY, Iowa —

Authorities have identified the man shot and killed after a law enforcement pursuit in Grundy and Black Hawk counties on Sunday night.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation says 47-year-old Benjamin Sink, of Waterloo, was wanted on multiple charges related to a domestic relationship when Grundy County deputies and Iowa State Patrol deputies attempted a traffic stop around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

Sink allegedly refused to stop, prompting a pursuit. Law enforcement used stop sticks to disable Sink's vehicle, which came to a stop on the side of the road on Highway 20.

Authorities said Sink got out of the vehicle, produced a firearm and fired at officers.
