BELLA VISTA -- City residents voted during a special election Tuesday in favor of extending the city's existing 1% sales tax and fund several major capital projects.
The passage of this vote does not increase the city's sales tax rate of 2%, but rather continues the 1% tax passed by voters in 2020 to secure bonds to pay for the construction of three public safety projects, all of which have been completed.
Final but unofficial results showed the 2020 refunding of bonds passed:
For^1,171 (72%)
Against^465 (28%)
The 2024 refunding of bonds also passed:
