ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — With just two weeks left until the Dec. 2 runoff election, South Fulton voters filled the Ivy Community Center in Atlanta on Tuesday night to hear from the top candidates vying to become the city’s next mayor.

The forum, moderated by Atlanta News First’s Monica Kaufman Pearson, also featured candidates for the Atlanta Board of Education, Atlanta City Council and South Fulton City Council.

South Fulton District 2 Councilwoman Carmalitha Gumbs and former councilman Dr. Mark Baker, the two candidates advancing from the Nov. 4 election, shared the stage — and exchanged pointed criticisms — as they answered questions about transparency, spending, economic growth and restoring trust in city leadership.
