Tied at a goal apiece, a trio of headers set up Gui Dos Santos, who cut past two West Milford defenders with the ball.

It was a 35-yard dash from there with Dos Santos dribbling toward goaltender Donovan Ford. Ford dove for the ball as Dos Santos went left with the ball. With his left foot, Dos Santos knocked in the go-ahead goal in the back-right corner of the net.

Section 2 champion Madison, No. 8 in the NJ.com Top 20, came from behind to take down Section 1 champion West Milford in a 2-1 win in the Group 2 semifinals in Madison.

This will be the first time since 1996 that Madison advances to the state championship.

Dos Santos scored the tie-breaking goal in the 26th minute of the second half. He was ready for the moment and was taught exactly what to do when his time came.
