A lorry has jackknifed on the A9 with weather warnings for snow and ice still in place across the country, sparking major delays for commuters. ‌

The collision took place near Dunbeath in Caithness during the early hours of Wednesday morning. Pictures from the scene show the trailer of the lorry crashed diagonally across the road during subzero conditions. ‌

It's currently unknown if there are any injuries. Police have advised motorists to avoid the area. ‌
