HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A mother filed a lawsuit against the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii, alleging her son was sexually abused and bullied by another student in one of the organization’s after-school programs, and staff did nothing about it.
“Right now, my son is going through intensive care therapy, and he has PTSD,” the mother said, keeping her identity private to protect her family.
Allegations span four months
The woman claims the alleged harassment started in November 2023 and lasted nearly four months.
During that time, she said another student forcibly touched her then-10-year-old son’s genitals and pressed a stick against his rear on multiple occasions.
