Dr Umar-un-Nabi, the suicide bomber behind the deadly Red Fort attack on November 10, was in Kashmir days before the blast and had entrusted his mobile phone to his brother.

His recovered phone, which was earlier dumped, contains chilling footage in which Umar justifies the attack as a “martyrdom operation," shedding light on his radicalisation and premeditation.

News agency PTI quoted officials as saying that Umar’s brother, Zahoor Illahi, during a detailed interrogation by a special team led by Senior Superintendent of Police GV Sundeep Chakravarthy in Srinagar, initially denied knowledge of his brother’s plans.
