Chennai, Nov 19: Veteran South Indian actress Tulasi, known for her versatile performances across Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada cinema, left fans stunned on Monday after she quietly announced her retirement from films through a brief social media post.

Taking to Instagram on Monday evening, Tulasi shared a heartfelt note that read:

“In continuation of my Shirdi darshan this December 31’, I wish myself a happy retirement. Will continue my journey in peace with Sainadha. Thanking all for helping me learn life. Sairam.”

Tulasi began her cinematic journey at just three months old, reportedly at the insistence of legendary actress Savitri. She went on to shine as a celebrated child artist, earning two prestigious Nandi Awards for her roles in Seetamalakshmi
