MULLENS – An assembly at Mullens Elementary School marked a special occasion Tuesday thanks to a visit from West Virginia State Superintendent of Schools Michele L. Blatt in recognition of their 2025 Exemplary School Award.
However, the assembly took an extra-special turn no one saw coming: Milken Educator Awards Vice President Stephanie Bishop took the stage to surprise Brooke Bailey, a third and fourth grade math teacher, with a $25,000 Milken Educator Award.
