A mum with a gastric sleeve has been banned from ordering a kids’ meal at Toby Carvery due to a "unfair" menu policy.

Amy Jones said she was left “so embarrassed” after staff at the carvery chain, which has outlets in Birmingham and Solihull too, told her she was not allowed to order from the kids’ menu.

The incident unfolded in Bury in Greater Manchester. Amy was there to celebrate the birthday of her daughter, aged 13, and asked for a child's portion. The request came following gastric sleeve surgery back in September.
