GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Brown County Health officials want you to know about a life-threatening condition and its possible link to a certain baby formula.
Maybe you’ve seen the recent headlines. The CDC and FDA are looking into a possible link between ByHeart infant formula and infant botulism.
The recall was expanded to include all unexpired cans and single-serve packets.
Infant botulism is a rare, life-threatening condition that can cause a slow form of paralysis in infants.
Brown County Health says so far 23 babies in 13 states have been hospitalized with suspected or confirmed cases. They were all exposed to ByHeart formula.
Although there are no cases reported in Wisconsin, health officials want you to be on the lookout for signs and symptoms.
