CLEVELAND — With AAA estimating at least 73 million people will drive 50 miles or more from home during the Thanksgiving holiday travel period, you can certainly expect to encounter some busy traffic .
This includes an additional 1.3 million people on the road when compared to last Thanksgiving.
But when are the best and worst times to start your road trip?
AAA has shared the following guidance on when you can expect to see the most traffic across the country during the Thanksgiving travel period between Tuesday, Nov. 25 to Monday, Dec. 1:
Worst travel time: 12-9 p.m.
Best travel time: Before 12 p.m.
Worst travel time: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Best travel time: Before 11 a.m.
