COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) is inviting victims of motor vehicle theft to apply for assistance.
According to CSP, the Victims Assistance Grant Application Program is intended to help residents with some of the unknown or unexpected costs associated with vehicle theft.
Some of the expenses that victims may be eligible for are:
Alternative transportation
Public transportation
Ride-share services
Rental vehicle services
Cleaning and sanitation
Towing and storage fees
Vehicle repair reimbursement
Steering wheel locks and hardening devices
Funding for victims’ support is on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants must be Colorado residents throughout the process and the current registered owner of the titled vehicle.
