Severe weather warnings for snow and ice are in place across the UK, with heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures causing disruption for many.
The Met Office said up to 25cm of snow could fall in parts of the country this week. So far, snowfall has been recorded in northern parts of the UK, central regions and as far south as London.
The forecaster has issued a number of amber and yellow weather warnings , cautioning that the wintry weather "could create some particularly tricky travel conditions".
Many warnings over Northern Ireland, parts of Wales, northern and southwest parts of England, the Midlands and much of Scotland are set to remain in place until Thursday evening (November 20). READ MORE : UK snow LIVE: Greater Manchester road shuts for hours due to snow
