“Don't ever let anybody take your power from you,” former vice president Kamala Harris told several hundred Democrats at Nashville’s Hadley Park on Nov. 18. “That’s why I am here in Tennessee, because I know the power is in the South.”
Harris was introduced by state Rep. Justin Jones (D-Nashville), who referred to her as "my auntie, Madam Vice President," to smiles from Harris and cheers from the crowd.
Also present were state Reps. Harold Love (D-Nashville) and John Ray Clemmons (D-Nashville), as well as state Sen. Charlane Oliver (D-Nashville), Metro Councilmember Delishia Porterfield and several other elected officials.
