The Indian Army has patented the design (digital print) of the new Coat Combat. This three-layer uniform is comfortable for soldiers in all seasons. This means no one will be able to manufacture, sell, or use a uniform of this design without the Army's permission. Doing so will result in legal action and a fine.

This new Coat Combat has been developed by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Delhi, in collaboration with the Army Design Bureau.

The Army had introduced the new Combat Uniform in January 2025.

Made from Advanced Fabric

According to officials, this uniform is made from advanced fabric and technology. Its ergonomic design is comfortable in all seasons and situations and does not affect mobility.
