The Supreme Court will on Thursday deliver its opinion on the reference made by the President of India, which raises 14 questions regarding the timelines for granting assent to bills by the President and the Governor under the powers vested in Articles 200 and 201 of the Constitution.

A bench comprising Chief Justice of India BR Gavai, Justice Surya Kant, Justice Vikram Nath, Justice PS Narasimha, and Justice AS Chandurkar heard the matter over ten days starting September 11 and reserved its opinion.
