SAGINAW, MI — Local attorneys have targeted Consumers Energy and its vegetation-management contractor with a class-action lawsuit. The companies have been violating Saginaw County citizens’ rights by trespassing on their property and marking beloved trees with unseemly paint, the suit claims.
Attorneys Philip L. Ellison and Matthew E. Gronda on Nov. 17 filed their suit in Saginaw County Circuit Court, with Richland Township resident Scott W. Kuchar serving as lead plaintiff. Named as defendants are Consumers Energy Company and Lansing-based ArborMetrics Solutions LLC .
