ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. — The Chief of Police for Elizabeth City, Eddie Graham, took to social media on Wednesday to address growing concerns among residents about the possible presence of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in the city.
In a post directed at the community, Chief Graham wrote, “I want to personally address the concerns regarding the presence of ICE Agents in our city. I can assure you that we have not been notified or confirmed that ICE is currently operating within our city limits.”
The police chief urged residents to rely only on official information from the Elizabeth City Police Department and cautioned against trusting unverified sources.
