LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Jeffersontown Police officer was involved in a collision Wednesday morning.
At about 7 a.m., officers responded to a shots-fired call when one officer was involved in a vehicle collision at the intersection of Taylorsville Road and South Hurstbourne Parkway, according to a JPD news release.
The officer and driver of the other vehicle involved were transported to a local hospital where authorities say they are expected to survive.
The intersection of Taylorsville Road and Hurstbourne Parkway was shut down for several hours. At about 9:45 a.m., the intersection opened back up.
WHAS11 asked Jeffersontown Detective Mike Lauder what came of the "shots fired" call. He said there was "nothing located."
