WASHINGTON — The neighbor of actor Jonathon Joss has been indicted in the death of the “King of the Hill” actor.
Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez, 57, was indicted by a grand jury on Monday, Nov. 17. He was initially arrested in June, after Joss was fatally shot near his Texas home.
According to a police report, Alvarez confessed to the murder the night it happened. Officers say the suspect told them, "I shot him" as he was being detained.
Police had been dispatched to a home in south San Antonio about 7 p.m. on Jun. 1 on a shooting in progress call. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the wounded 59-year-old actor near the street.
“The officers attempted life saving measures until EMS arrived. EMS pronounced the victim deceased,” San Antonio police said in a statement.
