BRECKSVILLE, Ohio — The state Route 82 bridge just east of Riverview Road over the Cuyahoga Valley, which has been closed since October and was expected to reopen sometime this month, will be shut down for a while longer.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), the bridge, which separates Cuyahoga and Summit counties, will now be closed until late December.
The bridge was slated to be closed until mid-November while crews made structural repairs. ODOT officials tell 3News that concrete is expected to be poured next week, which will take "a little while" to cure. Workers will also do fiber wrapping before the bridge is reopened.
The closure is part of a $7.7 million project to repair the bridge piers and deck.
