COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus City Schools Board of Education members expressed some confusion and sought clarity on Superintendent Dr. Angela Chapman’s proposed cuts to the district’s budget.
The board is expected to vote on the cuts in two weeks during the Dec. 2 meeting. The district will need to make $50 million in cuts to its budget based on Chapman’s several proposals.
Board members directed several questions to Chapman about the specifics of six proposed cost-cutting options, citing no clear outline of what some of the cuts would look like if the board decides to take action on the proposed items.
