After years of retailers staying open for Thanksgiving Day, many of the most popular stores have returned to giving employees the day off. With doors shuttered for the holiday, millions of Americans are now looking forward to Black Friday sales starting the following morning.
Depending on the retailer, doors can open as early as 5 a.m. Major retailers like Walmart, Target, Lowe’s, Macy’s and Dick’s Sporting Goods will open at 6 a.m. Others will open at various times throughout the morning on Nov. 28.
It’s worth keeping in mind that while some retailers have advertised holiday hours nationally, your local store may have different hours.
Many retailers will launch online sales before their physical stores open on Black Friday, in addition to in-store doorbusters.
