A person of interest is being sought in the fatal stabbing of Erik Kuns.

Officials are attempting to track down a person of interest in a fatal stabbing that occurred at TGI Fridays in Linden, authorities announced Wednesday, Nov. 19.

The person of interest in the Sunday, Nov. 9 stabbing is described as a Black man, who stands 6'9" and weighs 200 lbs., the Union County Prosecutor's Office said. He has shoulder length hair and dreadlocks and a black/gray patch beard, authorities said.

The man, who goes by "D", is approximately 50 years old. At the time of the incident, he was seen wearing all black clothing, with no visible tattoos, and Air Jordan 14's (Ferrari) sneakers, authorities said.

At 10 p.m., that evening, Linden police responded to the restaurant at 400 S. Park Avenue for a report of a fight, authorities said. Erik Kuns, a 35-year-old Keyport man was found with stab wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

A Facebook page, Justice For Erik Jay Kuns was launched following the stabbing. The page said it is offering a $10,000 reward for anyone who has information leading to an arrest. 

Kuns worked in the Dockworker's Timberman Union Local 1556 and was a diehard fan of the Red Sox, New York Giants, Knicks and Rangers, according to the page.

"His humor and his compassion will be missed by all who loved him," the page reads. "Erik deserves justice."
