A new poll has some ominous news for President Donald Trump and the GOP.

Newsweek reports that a survey from PBS News/NPR/Marist shows that a clear majority of voters would cast their ballot for a Democrat if the congressional midterm elections were held today.

The poll, conducted between Nov. 10 and 13, showed that 55% of voters would elect a Democratic candidate, compared to 41% who said they would vote for a Republican.

That 14-point bulge is the Democrats’ largest since November of 2017.

The following year, during Trump’s first term in office, the Democrats won more than 40 House seats in the midterm elections.

The new Dem advantage gives fuel to the party, with the Dems hoping to regain control of both the House and the U.S. Senate in 2026.
