HOUSTON – The Texans added former Dallas Cowboys linebacker Damone Clark to the active roster off waivers.

Clark played collegiately at LSU who was drafted in the fifth round in 2018.

He has recorded 198 tackles, two forced fumbles, a half-sack, one fumble recovery and four pass deflections.

He was a second-team All-American and first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection for the Tigers.

A New Orleans native, Clark underwent spina fusion surgery in 2022 after being drafted and missed part of his rookie season.

He has played in eight games with two starts this season. He has 14 tackles this season.

He started 17 games in 2023, recording a career-high 109 tackles, four for losses, three quarterback hits, and one fumble recovery.
