GALAX, Va. (WDBJ) - Our hometowns are still mourning the life of a River North Correctional Center officer who was killed in the line of duty Monday morning, and one family who knows the pain of losing a loved one in such tragic circumstances is opening doors to their fitness center to share support.

There’s a place for grief, healing and finding strength in Galax... Founded in honor of a brave man who lost his life in the line of duty, and now, sharing that tribute with another.

“Every March, we remember Curtis. We memorialize the fact that he gave his life. We’re going to add Jeremy Hall to that memorial and celebrate his sacrifice just like we do every year and every day with Curtis,” said Sam Bartlett.
