LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) - Four dogs rescued from a massive hoarding case in Henry County have arrived at the Lynchburg Humane Society.

Staffers say they’ll need fosters as they work to rehabilitate the dogs found living in dangerous conditions.

The Humane Society took in two adults... one pregnant... and two puppies.

Henry County deputies say they found 106 dogs at a home on Winnie Lane after a welfare check tipped them off to an excessive number of animals on the property.

They say the dogs, including Poodles, Chihuahuas, Great Pyrenees, and other popular breeds, were packed into kennels and fenced-in areas, living among piles of feces and urine.

Sheriff Wayne Davis says this is the largest hoarding case he’s seen during his time as sheriff.
