ANDOVER, Kan. (KWCH) - The holidays are right around the corner, and that means it’s almost flu season. As of the first week of November, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment has reported no cases of flu this fall.
However, at Xpress Wellness Urgent Care in Andover, patients coming in with upper respiratory system viruses are already on the rise.
Kaylee Daniel is an urgent care physician’s assistant. She said right now she’s seeing an increase in croup, common viruses, COVID-19, and a lot of upper and lower respiratory viruses.
“This time last year, we started to see an uptick in flu cases to about 50% into the previous year,” said Daniel. “So I anticipate the same thing is going to start happening around this time. We’re seeing a lot of gatherings with Thanksgiving, with C
