SALEM, Ore. - Governor Tina Kotek (D-Ore.) has issued a significant executive order aimed at reducing carbon pollution in Oregon.
This new directive, Executive Order 25-29, seeks to accelerate the state's transition to clean energy and enhance the reliability and affordability of the energy grid.
"Oregon faces escalating climate impacts, from record wildfires to extreme weather events that hit vulnerable communities hardest," said Gov. Kotek. She emphasized the need for strategic electrification and clean energy infrastructure to combat climate change and improve energy affordability.
