WASHINGTON D.C., DC — On Tuesday, the Trump administration announced it would be moving some Department of Education programs to other agencies.

This comes as the White House administration works to dismantle the federal agency.

The Department of Education announced six new interagency agreements to break up the federal education bureaucracy, ensure efficient delivery of funded programs and move closer to fulfilling the President's promise to return education back to the states.

According to a press release , the agreement will affect a wide range of divisions.

"The Trump Administration is taking bold action to break up the federal education bureaucracy and return education to the states,” said U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon in the release.
