NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Vanderbilt LifeFlight has resumed flight operations following a “safety stand down” in the wake of the deadly helicopter crash earlier this month.

The medical transportation service issued the “safety stand down” on Monday, saying safety was its top priority and that no one would be boarding an aircraft until they were fully ready.

“Over the past week, we have done a lot of check-ins with ourselves, our families, our crews, our aircraft and our community. We’ve gone through every measure to ensure we are ready to board our aircraft. And we are ready,” Vanderbilt LifeFlight said.
