Twisted Metal has been renewed for season 3, and it's another win for video game adaptations. Peacock recently announced that its original action series, Twisted Metal , will be back for season 3 with David Reed taking over as showrunner from Michael Jonathan Smith, who exited after two seasons of the series.

Based on the video game franchise developed by SingleTrac and Sony Interactive, originally appearing on the PlayStation, Twisted Metal brings the vehicular mayhem of those combat video games to television. The renewal of the series is another great sign for the health of Twisted Metal and video game adaptations in general.
