Peacock has renewed its series Twisted Metal for a third season.

Variety reports that in addition to the renewal news, the series will see some major changes behind the scenes.

Notably, co-creator Michael Jonathan Smith , who was also the showrunner for seasons 1 and 2, is leaving the show. David Reed will take over as showrunner and executive producer for season 3 as part of a deal with Sony Pictures Television.

According to the outlet, Twisted Metal season 2 racked up over 990 million minutes viewed to date, making it the streaming service’s “second biggest returning original scripted season.”
