BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - South Mississippi is preheating before Thanksgiving with near record warmth expected to last through much of next week.

An upper-level ridge of high pressure will hold a grip across the Gulf Coast through the middle of Thanksgiving week, making for overnight low temperatures and afternoon highs to run 5-10 degrees above normal.

A quick moving disturbance on Friday may bring a chance for showers or thunderstorms. Patchy dense fog will be an issue each morning until this pattern breaks.
