LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A new report from the Kentucky Department of Education shows students across the state performed better in 2025 than they have in recent years across several grade levels and subjects, with Fayette County Public Schools demonstrating strong performance in several areas.

Statewide improvements show significant gains
The annual accountability and assessment data highlights gains, particularly in reading and math. Students performed at proficient or distinguished levels at a higher rate during the 24-25 school year in reading and mathematics than they have in the past four years.
