MASON CITY, Iowa — Faith Etheredge, a student at North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC), has been awarded a $500 Visual Arts Award Scholarship for her artwork titled “Nala.”

Her piece was selected for publication in the 31st edition of Nota Bene, Phi Theta Kappa’s national literary and visual arts honors anthology.

Etheredge's artwork stood out among more than 3,200 entries reviewed by judges nationwide. Nota Bene showcases the creative achievements of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) members across the U.S., with the 31st edition set to be published later this fall and printed copies available early next year.
