UNION COUNTY, Tenn — Every day, Samantha Smith wants to help others.
"It's very personal for me. I didn't have anybody to turn to when I was here in addiction, so I didn't know there was another way," Smith said.
Smith is the President of Shiloh Recovery Services . The name Shiloh comes from her granddaughter. The group is a new nonprofit located in Union County, with the goal of helping people with addiction and mental health.
"I don't want our next generation or my grandchildren feeling like they can't ask for help, that it's a weakness to ask for help. I want them to know that their community supports them," Smith said.
A new way Smith and her organization are showing support is through a new 24/7 Narcan box. It's located just down the road from Smith's office at Okie's Pharmacy o
