Veenavaadini Sampradaya Trust based in Mandaveli has been celebrating the 250th birth anniversary of Carnatic music composer Muthuswamy Dikshitar as a year long festival. For the finale, to be held on Nov.29, a commemorative postal cover is to be released. This event will be at Muthamizh Peravai , T N Rajarathnam Kalai Arangam in R. A. Puram, 2 p.m. onwards. The key guests are Satish Chandra Dubey, union minister and Brahmasri Ganesa Sharma (Tamil and Sanskrit scholar and Upanyasam exponent). There will be a veena recital by JT Jeyaraaj Krishnan and Jaysri Jeyaraaj Krishnan and their disciples. The Krishnans have been behind these celebrations.
