Babatunde Oladotun commits to Maryland, Buzz Williams' first five-star in a decade

Maryland landed one of the biggest commitments of the early signing period Wednesday as top-10 prospect Babatunde Oladotun announced his pledge to the Terrapins. He becomes Buzz Williams' first five-star recruit in nearly a decade.

Oladotun, a 6-foot-10 forward from James Hubert Blake High School in Silver Spring, chose Maryland over Georgetown and Arkansas after a recruitment that saw multiple late twists. He becomes the program’s first five-star signee since Derik Queen in 2024 and Williams’ first since Nickeil Alexander-Walker at Virginia Tech in 2017.
